A full scale search was mounted when Miss Bland called the Mountain Rescue team to help the children search for Mr Watt. He was eventually found after falling from his bike and hurting his ankle. He was returned to school on a stretcher in the back of a Land Rover before making a miraculous recovery. The children learned a great deal from the whole day and wrote their own newspaper reports about the incident. We did of course tell them that we staged the whole event and their parents were in on it too.
