Christmas lunch
Children and staff along with parents, governors and friends enjoyed Christmas lunch together and it was a huge success once again. The food was delicious thanks to Lynn and the children received presents which Santa had dropped off earlier.

Cream Tees came to visit!
On Friday 29th November we were privileged with a visit from ‘Cream Tees.’ Cream Tees are a youth folk band which was formed in 2012 as part of the Music at the Heart of Teesdale project. They play instruments ranging from the cello to the flute. We were lucky enough to have our very own private concert and the children thought they were fantastic enjoying the toe tapping music and even got up to dance.
Forest School closed Thursday
Just a reminder that we will be closed tomorrow, December 12th, as the school is being used as a polling station. In view of the poor weather forecast and the number of poorly children, we will not be visiting St John’s Chapel this week. We will be at Forest on Friday.
Children in Need
Today, 15th November, the children enjoyed a day packed with Pudsey Bear fun!! They took part in a sponsored walk (100 laps of the school field) enjoyed Face Timing St John’s Chapel Primary so they could be involved in the raffle and hot chocolate with squirty cream and marshmallows to round off the day.
All in aid of raising money for Children in Need!!
Well done everyone!!!
Remembrance Day
Today, the 11th November, we celebrate and remember those who gave their lives and are still giving their lives in the present day as conflicts still happen around the world.
We had an assembly and looked at the plaque we have in school for those who fell and returned from our local area in The Great War and also from World War II. At 11 o’clock we held a 2 minutes silence as a sign of respect to those brave soldiers.
Lest we forget.
