Continuing our Eco Schools journey!
September 2019
We will be recommencing our Eco-Schools journey this year after a short break. This time we will be working together with our partner schools. We are currently in the process of setting up a new Eco Council.
Silver Award
Congratulations Eco-team!
The whole team have worked extremely hard to gain their silver award. Take a look at the action plan the team are working on. This was was written after completing an environmental review.
What is Eco-schools?
Eco – Schools is an environment education programme and is managed in England by the environmental charity Keep Britain Tidy, the anti – litter campaign for England. Eco-schools is an international award programme that guides schools on their sustainable journey, providing a simple framework to help make sustainability an integral part of school life. There are 9 key areas of Eco-schools; Energy, Water, Biodiversity, School Grounds, Healthy Living, Transport, Litter, Waste and Global Citizenship.
Forest’s Eco-Schools Team
As a very small school, the pupils decided that they all wish to be part of the Eco-schools team and help look after and support the environment. Other people part of the team are Mrs Tunstall – Teacher, Mrs Littlewood-Noble – Governor and Mrs Scott – Parent.
Eco-Code
As a team we have created an Eco-code that we endeavour to follow.
