September 2019

We will be recommencing our Eco-Schools journey this year after a short break.  This time we will be working together with our partner schools.  We are currently in the process of setting up a new Eco Council.

What is Eco-schools?

Eco – Schools is an environment education programme and is managed in England by the environmental charity Keep Britain Tidy, the anti – litter campaign for England. Eco-schools is an international award programme that guides schools on their sustainable journey, providing a simple framework to help make sustainability an integral part of school life. There are 9 key areas of Eco-schools; Energy, Water, Biodiversity, School Grounds, Healthy Living, Transport, Litter, Waste and Global Citizenship.

Forest’s Eco-Schools Team

As a very small school, the pupils decided that they all wish to be part of the Eco-schools team and help look after and support the environment. Other people part of the team are Mrs Tunstall – Teacher, Mrs Littlewood-Noble – Governor and Mrs Scott – Parent.

Eco-Code

As a team we have created an Eco-code that we endeavour to follow.
